Server Check requires internet access for license key activation, and also to periodically (usually once a day) keep your license key valid and to check for software updates.

If you use Server Check on a local network only, or if your firewall blocks the ports that Server Check uses for license activation and validity checks, an IT technician may need to grant internet access and turn off firewalls and virus protection on your computer or enter an exception for Server Check to allow internet access.

Server Check is designed to continually monitor internet services and check whether they are up or down, and so by design, internet access is required for both license activation and internet service monitoring, Server Check’s core task.

Therefore no offline activation option is available.

All versions of Server Check activate the license key applied to them by contacting our activation servers, and will then periodically connect to our licensing servers (usually once a day) to keep your license valid. If the publishers of Server Check, for whatever reason, are unable to continue activating license keys, arrangements are in place for a final version of Server Check to be released which disables the license key activation system. This version will be available for digital download for a minimum of one year from the time when the publisher is no longer able to activate license keys. At this point, Server Check would move into the public domain and all copyrights would be removed.

In practice, this means that we can guarantee that you will be able to use Server Check even if the developer or publisher ceases trading, ceases to exist, changes business model, is declared bankrupt, enters administration, is liquidated, is dissolved, is sold, or if anything else unforeseen happens.

Yes, Server Check licenses are valid for all versions of the software, and will be valid for all future updates.

License keys can be used to activate Server Check on one computer, and each installation of Server Check requires a separate license key. If you need to transfer a license from one computer to another, please make a request via chat, email or telephone.

Each Server Check license allows the software to be used on one computer. Once a license is activated, only that computer will identify itself correctly for Server Check to run. You can transfer your license to another computer or system, but it will no longer allow the original system to use that license.
